전기	Matthew Lambert is the Portfolio Manager for Legg Mason’s Core Australian Equity strategy, with responsibility for implementing the investment process within the portfolio constraints and investment guidelines. Matthew has a strong grounding in mathematics and statistics combined with previous engineering experience, as well as strong knowledge of risk and alpha models. He maintains a broad view of alpha generation across the product streams and assists in identifying key investment drivers. Matthew was previously a Quantitative Analyst at the firm, during which time he back-tested valuation, earnings growth and revision signals in support of the equity investment process. Matthew has also implemented automated equity portfolio construction and asset allocation optimiser tools. Prior to joining Legg Mason, Matthew held a range of engineering and quantitative roles in photographic manufacturing, software development, document imaging and aerospace. Matthew has completed a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree with honours at the University of Melbourne, and a Masters in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia.
