Prior to joining Perkins, Mr. Chessen was a partner and analyst at Millgate Capital Inc., a deep-value, long/short hedge fund focused exclusively on non-U.S. equities. Before joining Millgate in 2004, Mr. Chessen worked for four years in private equity at Saunders, Karp & Megrue as well as Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst in both New York and Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prior to Hicks Muse, he was an analyst in the equity research department of ING Barings in Argentina. Mr. Chessen began his career in 1994 in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley. He received a bachelor of arts degree in history from the University of Virginia, where he graduated with distinction, and an MBA with a concentration in finance from Columbia Business School. Mr. Chessen holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and has 20 years of financial industry experience.
