Prior to STANLIB, Naweed was a Portfolio Risk Analyst at Eminence Partners, a Johannesburg-based long/short equity hedge fund operated under the Peregrine fund platform. Here he gained experience in monitoring and managing portfolio risk exposures; compiling daily risk and performance reports; and modeling equity risk and return data to assist the portfolio construction process. His actuarial training and quantitative experience at a single manager fund level, complements the Research and Development Team.
